Billing
What you’ll do here: find your way to the right page for every part of a sale.
Billing is the heart of Setu. A sale bill works the same way every time: the customer, the items, the payment, then save and print. All of it can be done without the mouse, and all of it works without the internet.
To start a new bill, press Alt+N from anywhere, press 1 on the main menu, or choose Transactions › Sale Bill.
In this part
- Making a sale: a whole bill, start to finish.
- Finding items and scanning barcodes: typing names, scanning, and a barcode Setu doesn’t know.
- Quantity, discounts and free items: packs and loose items, discounts, schemes.
- Choosing the MRP: when the shop has old and new MRP stock of the same item.
- Payment, change and printing: cash, UPI, card, udhaar, and the printed bill.
- Changing, reprinting or cancelling a bill: Modify Bill, and the GST-correct way it works.
- More at the counter: holding a bill, returns and exchanges, touch billing, and more.
