What is new in Matih Setu 1.4.3

Your Matih support person installs 1.4.3 for you. They take a backup of the shop first.

Old and new MRP stock kept apart

When the same item arrives with a new MRP, Setu keeps the old-MRP stock and the new-MRP stock apart, under the same item and the same barcode.
A delivery at an older MRP goes with the stock at that MRP. The item's MRP and rate don't change.
At the counter, when more than one MRP of an item is in stock, the cashier picks the MRP printed on the packet. With only one in stock, nothing is asked.
A batch can now carry its manufacture (Mfg) date.

Working with the mouse

The row you click is the row the keys act on: in Current Stock, the item list, purchase and sale lists, returns and labels.
The keys shown on the key bar at the bottom can be clicked.
On every list, the first row is highlighted when the list opens and after a search, so the keys never act on a row you can't see.

Balances hidden from cashiers

Cashiers no longer see party balances or cash in hand: "Hide all balances" is now the default, also in shops that update.
The owner can change this in Control Room.

Invoices never go to the receipt printer

A roll (receipt) printer can't be chosen as the invoice printer. Setu reads the paper width from the printer's own settings.
If a shop had chosen a roll printer as its invoice printer before, Setu says so. The bill, credit note and reprint for a customer with a GSTIN then print on the roll, with the invoice number and total.

Bringing in your old software's data

On a suppliers' list, a plain figure is what the shop owes the supplier, and "Dr" marks an advance paid to them.
When a party list doesn't say whether it holds customers or suppliers, Setu asks you instead of guessing.

Good to know

1.4.3 updates the layout of the shop's data. Once 1.4.3 has started, an older version can't open it. Going back needs Matih support and the backup taken before the update.
If anything looks wrong after the update, keep billing and call your Matih support person. Bills saved on 1.4.3 are kept.
